Same here, I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect but was more coming into it like ok cool haven’t heard from this guy in a while could be interesting, and then pretty much the entire album was heat. Like almost every song. Buckle Up was a good one, I would say this was my favorite, along with For My Niggas and then of course Hole in My Heart.
I have to delve further into his past albums actually, I’ve always known of him and knew a couple songs here and there but I’ve never extensively listened to all of his albums front to back like I usually do with artists I like but now based on the strenght of this album and what you’re saying I’m going to go back and listen to everything.
By the way have you seen his most recent interview on Vlad TV? I’m usually not super big on Vlad TV but this one was good being that it was Suga Free so it was non-stop entertainment. Even just the beginning when Vlad was welcoming him on and Suga Free is just like ‘Happy to be here mane,’ and ‘I get to meet the man behind the magic’ it’s like a mix of like welcoming, trolling and intimidating lol. Vlad isn’t really a great interviewer per se but Suga Free is just enough of a character that he makes it entertaining anyway. It’s also like a 14-part interview lol.
Honestly The Resurrection has a lot more heaters on it than I was expecting.
Buckle Up is my personal favorite because it sounds like some mid-2000’s Free shit, and honestly that’s my favorite era of Suga Free.
